Introducing Dillon Teeter, a fourth-year apprentice in Glaziers Local 751!
His favorite thing about his trade is that no week’s the same. His work doesn’t get monotonous and it’s always something different.
Before he started the apprenticeship program, he was, “broke.” But now he’s, “definitely not broke.” He worked in heavy-duty trucking for ten years, which he didn’t enjoy because it was the same thing every day and he didn’t have advancement opportunities. Joining DC 57 was a great choice since it enabled him to meet his long-term goals.
When asked about what the apprenticeship means to him and his family, he said it “Provides me with the tools required to raise my family, which is huge. My only problem is I didn’t decide to do it faster.”
