Meet Kyle Jancsar, an 80% drywall finishing apprentice out of Local 530. He enjoys the “hustle” of the trades, of showing up and working hard.

Before he started his apprenticeship in taping, he was a painter. Now he gets to expand his finishing trades skillset on the job and go even farther in his career.

He enjoys the stability that comes with a union career, and being able to support his wife and kids. Coming from non-union work, he understands the union difference – he now has benefits beyond health insurance, like pension and retirement.
