District Council 57 is an organization of over 2,500 members in Western Pennsylvania. We were formed in 1999 when Local Unions #6, #409, #530, #751, #2006, #479, #549, and #1968 with over 100 years of existence were combined into one council.
Our goal is to represent all of the individuals who wish to work at our trades in Western PA, and to help them achieve a career with good wages, benefits, safety, and dignity in the workplace. Our staff and members partner with local contractors to bring you the best possible painting, wallcovering, drywall finishing, and installation services.
We are open from 7 AM – 3 PM Monday through Friday.

DC 57 Business Manager Chris Geronimos has retired following five years as BM/ST and 40 years as a member of Local 6 and DC 57.

The negotiating committee has reached a tentative agreement with our signatory painting contractors. We urge all members in good standing that work under the areawide painting agreement to attend this very important meeting and to vote on the proposed contract. The contents of your collective bargaining agreement affect your wages, working conditions and your future.
A ratification vote (contract vote) will take place on Thursday, May 18, 2023 at 7:00PM sharp at the following locations:
